Bayard Rustin was a very well respected member in the civil rights movement. He was known for pulling many strings behind the scene of the movement and is responsible for many of the civil rights events we know to be popular today.
He is known for helping organize the Southern Christian Leadership Service for MLK to teach his non violent practices, promoting lqbtq and labor rights, and organizing marches and boycotts.
Mr Rustin will go down as a hero who helped many lives and was needed to propel the civil rights movement.
